Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026

Video to Audio is designed around browser-local media processing. This policy explains what that means, what ordinary website data may still be collected, and which limits you should understand before using the converter.

Video and audio files

The video you select is processed in your browser with ffmpeg.wasm. It is not uploaded to our server for conversion. The converted audio is created as a temporary browser object and downloaded directly to your device.

During a task, the WebAssembly engine mounts the selected file through the browser's WORKERFS interface when available. If mounting is unavailable, the compatibility path copies the input into the worker's memory file system. Temporary data and output may use worker memory in either case. Cancelling terminates the worker. After a completed result is read, the temporary worker is closed. Download object URLs are revoked when replaced or when you leave the page.

Do not send private media files to our support email. A useful bug report normally needs only the browser, operating system, input container, approximate file size, selected output, and visible error.

Website requests and analytics

Like other websites, our hosting provider may process IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and security logs needed to deliver and protect the site. If analytics is enabled, it is configured through the site's disclosed environment settings and measures page usage, not the contents of media files.

We do not use conversion files for advertising, training, transcription, or resale because those files are not received by our conversion server.

Local storage and cookies

The site may store a language preference and theme preference in your browser. These settings do not contain your video or audio content.

Third-party software

The converter uses open-source browser software, including ffmpeg.wasm. The application code and WebAssembly core may be delivered as static site assets. Normal network requests for those assets do not include your selected media file.

File safety and limits

Browser-local processing reduces file exposure but does not remove every risk. Your device must have enough memory, downloads remain on your device, and other installed software or browser extensions are outside our control. Keep source files until you have verified the output.
